EI “Almaty Management University” operates on a license from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MES RK). In 2012, according to the results of the attestation Commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty Management University was licensed for a period of 5 years. Currently, AlmaU operates in accordance with the reissued license no. KZ03LAA00008295 dated March 2, 2017, for educational activities. AlmaU is accredited as a subject of scientific and (or) scientific and technical activity of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan (MES RK) in accordance with the certificate of the MK series No. 005363 dated September 27, 2017.

MBA “Financial Engineering" received reaccreditation of the Global Association of Risk Management (GARP)
The MBA program "Financial Engineering" is aimed at professional participants of the financial market, and will provide an opportunity to master modern tools for analyzing and assessing financial risks in a turbulent macro environment. It is the only MBA program in Kazakhstan with dual global accreditation (AMBA&BGA, GARP).
The program was accredited for the first time in 2019, and the first graduation of this program was in October 2021.

The School of Management of Almaty Management University has been successfully accredited in accordance with the certification procedure according to the rules of the Kazakhstan Project Management Association (KPMA), meeting the ICB 4.0 standard of the International Project Management Association (IPMA)
AlmaU signed an agreement with KPMA on March 2, 2022 and with a certificate dated March 29, 2022, the Kazakhstan Project Management Association confirmed the right to train project management specialists in accordance with the 4-L-C IPMA system.
The accreditation procedure is based on the achievements of the educational programs "Project Management" (Master's degree) and "Management" (Bachelor's degree, Master's degree) – the languages of instruction: Kazakh, Russian and English.
AlmaU students who have completed project management courses can immediately apply for a certification exam in order to obtain the appropriate international IPMA certification in the field of project management.

"Accounting and Auditing" program of the School of Economics and Finance was accredited by CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), the international association of management accounting specialists, founded in the UK in 1919. The Association has more than 642,000 students and members in 172 countries around the world. The accreditation of the Accounting and Audit program with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business is valid from February 10, 2022 to December 31, 2024.

9 AlmaU bachelor's degree programs were included in the ranking of educational programs of universities of NCE RK "Atameken" 2021.
For the fourth year, NCE RK "Atameken" publishes a ranking of educational programs of universities by order of the Ministry of Education and Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The ranking evaluates programs according to 19 criteria, among which are the level of employment of graduates, the median salary of graduates, the accreditation of the educational program, the quality of the teaching staff and the relevance of educational programs.
In 2021, the study covered 2002 educational programs, analyzed the employment of tens of thousands of graduates from 105 universities.
The ranking is designed to meet the interests of the employer in personnel quality, in a global sense, the ranking should reduce youth unemployment. Throughout the country, there is a process of forming essentially new formation of employees, trained and adapted to practical activities, as well as competitive and competent, taking into account modern realities.

For the third consecutive year NCE RK "Atameken" issues the rating of universities’ educational programs on request from the Ministry of education and science of Kazakhstan. The rating evaluates programs according to 17 criteria grouped into three blocks: "Career prospects of graduates", "Quality of the educational program" and "Achievements of students".
In 2020, the study covered 2,000 educational programs, analyzed the employment of 68 thousand graduates, and involved more than 600 industry experts from all regions of Kazakhstan. As a result, 6 thousand expert opinions were received for 108 universities.

The General MBA program of the Graduate School of Business of Almaty Management University is the only one in the CIS to be included in the top 200 of the QS World University Rankings: Global MBA Rankings 2021 and took the 23rd place in the TOP 25 MBA programs in Asia.
Almaty Management University took the 23rd place in the top 25 MBA programs in Asia. The rating of MBA programs Asia is represented by the 33 best programs (25 in 2019).
The QS ranking еvaluation of the best universities in the world is based on five criteria: employment (40%), return on investment (20%), entrepreneurship and graduate results (15%), thought leadership (15%), and diversity (10%). QS Global EMBA Rankings is a world ranking of the best EMBA programmes in the world. The joint EMBA program of the GSB AlmaU and the GSOM SPBU took the 95th place in the ranking.
In 2020, the ranking included 161 business school, in 2019 – 156, in 2018 - 143.
Evaluation of the best universities in the world for EMBA programs in the ranking of QS is based on five criteria: career growth (20%), diversity (10%), reputation among employers (30%), career profile (15%), thought leadership (25%).

Kazakhstan MBA program of AlmaU Graduate School of Business "Financial Engineering" has successfully passed international accreditation in Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
Now students of Alma GSB program will be able to pass an international exam on risk management in finance (FRM®) during their studies. Certification (FRM®) is recognized internationally as Master’s Degree standard in the USA, Singapore, India, etc.
GSB is the first and so far the only academic partner of GARP in Kazakhstan. With this accreditation, AlmaU set the high standards for development of the business education market in the CIS countries.

On 21st September The Independent Kazakhstan Agency for Quality Assurance in Education (IQAA) published the winners in several categories.
Almaty Management University took the 1st place in the nomination "Leader in Internationalization" and took 1st place in the nomination "Leader in promoting the university on the Internet space".

- Specialty "Accounting and Audit" - 1-place;

On the 15th of June, National Ranking of the best Humanitarian and Economic HEIs of Kazakhstan in 2018 was published by the Independent kazakh agency for quality assurance in education (IQAA).
Almaty Management University has been awarded 3rd place in the institutional rating IQAA, collecting 82.42 points in total. The evaluation was carried out according to the following criteria: effectivness of HEIs performance, expert evaluation, reputation among employers.

On the 15th of May, the list of 20 best universities of Kazakhstan in 2018 was published by the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR).
Almaty Management University has been awarded 18th place in the institutional rating IAAR, entering the TOP-20 leading universities of Kazakhstan. Moreover, AlmaU has achieved 9th place in preparing specialists of “social sciences” and 3rd place for "public relations”.
