On September 22, 2016 Almaty Management University was visited by Rawi Abdelal, Professor of International Management at Harvard business school, the Director of Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies and Alexandra Vacroux, Executive Director of Davis center, lecturer on political science at Harvard University.

MBA Programmes at GSB-AlmaU are the only programmes in the Central Asia and Kazakhstan that have been re-accredited by AMBA for the maximum period of 5 years.

Recently International Summer school has completed its work which was organized by Almaty Management University on the shore of Issyk-Kul lake in Kyrgyzstan. During a week, about 60 students from Karaganda, Atyrau, Aktau, Pavlodar, Astana, Almaty and Bishkek and speakers from the USA, Russia and Kazakhstan participated in a large-scale project, within which current global trends in education were studied and discussed.

The speaker was Vyacheslav Kondratyev, Professor of the Department of problems control of Moscow Physical-Technical University, head of R&D center of the faculty of radio engineering and cybernetics, the bestseller author of "7 notes of management: a reference book of a manager".

The program of the International Summer school, which is now taking place in Issyk-Kul, contains a lot of bright and informative sections. Participants are especially interested in discussion meeting at the end of the day, when an important and relevant topic for all listeners is selected for discussion. At the first discussion, last night, university managers and teachers discussed the need to reform the higher education system.

On June 27-28 in Almaty Management University was held the seminar on design thinking. About the new trend in the field of education, participants of a seminar are teachers, representatives of the companies – have learned from the international expert in the field of design of thinking - Katy Kavanaugh (Stanford University, the USA).
