Dombra for everyone!
November 24, 2015. Almaty Management University (formerly IAB) with the initiative of the club "Ulagat" of the Kazakh and Russian languages department (the head of the club - Gulnara Dzhubanova) organized the creative meeting for the students with Andrei Fendrikov, he received the diploma of the Republican Competition named after A.Zhubanov, a graduate of the Academy of Arts named after Zhurgenev and talented dombra player.
Andrei told the students about how he learned the basics of the Kazakh language, the art of playing the dombra and guitar, intricacies of Kazakh instrumental music created by Kurmangazy, Tattimbet, Dauletkerei, Dina Nurpeisova, Nurgisa Tlendiev and other popular composers.
The young musician has demonstrated a deep understanding of national traditions and performing works, highly professional skills, artistry. Andrei urged the students to learn about the folklore, visit the Conservatory, Philharmonic, theaters, as a student, to find time for spiritual and cultural development.
Dombra player also shared his thoughts on the creative process, the specifics and complexity of the musician’s work. Students were excited to ask questions guest. They were wondering what kind of feelings experienced the artist before going on stage, asked about the funny things that happen during rehearsals and concerts, creative successes and plans for the future. There were, of course, jokes and questions about his personal life. The musician answered all the questions with humor, also showing a good knowledge of the Kazakh language.
Dean of the Faculty of General Education of AlmaU Assylbek Nurgabdeshev thanked Andrei Fendrikov for his contribution to the development of Kazakh art, dombra music, educating the younger generation.
Creative meeting was productive, informal, relaxed and sincere. Students and faculty wished great success to the musician.
