AlmaU Graduation 2019
On June 21, 2019 at the Graduation ceremony, 479 bachelors obtained AlmaU diplomas in the following specialties: "Marketing", "Accounting and Audit", "Jurisprudence", "Logistics", "Regional Studies", "Public Relations", "Restaurant and Hotel Business", and "Economics".
AlmaU Rector Kurganbaeva Gulmira Amanzholovna, in her welcoming speech, emphasized the enormous work of the university faculty: “The heart, pulse, spirit of AlmaU are our teachers”. The ceremony was held in three streams, where in the first stream 130 graduates of Graduate School of Hospitality and Tourism, School of Engineering Management, Graduate School of Management were awarded diplomas. 150 graduates of Graduate School of Management were awarded with diplomas by the invited guest of honor Kamalov Alexander Ilyasovich, Chairman of the Board of SB Sberbank JSC. Alumni winners of Altyn Tamga competition of different years, winners of Olympiads, business games, contests and scientific conferences, participants of sports competitions, marathons, KVN teams were awarded. We particularly note Kristina Provodnikov, the winner in "The Best Graduate of 2019" nomination, who studied "Regional Studies". Also media blogger - viner Zimanov Daulet (“Marketing” specialty), “Miss AlmaU 2019” Kabylbekova Alinura (“Regional Studies” specialty), winner of “Actor of the Year” nomination Ilchenko Maxim (“Finance” specialty), winners of “Best Student of Kazakhstan 2017 -2018" contest according to “Elite Business Group” personnel holding Frolova Marina ("Accounting and Auditing" specialty) and Zhaniya Zhakenova ("Jurisprudence").
The next ones were graduates of such specialties as “Logistics”, “Management” and “Marketing”. 128 graduates were awarded with diplomas.
At the awards ceremony honorary guest of Graduation 2019, Doctor of Political Sciences of Lehigh University, USA, D.S. Duvanova emphasized advantages of studying at AlmaU: “Dear graduates, studying at AlmaU, more than other universities, you have been taught such an ability as a desire to gain knowledge, and how to acquire new knowledge”
The exclusivity of Graduation 2019 is that for the first time in AlmaU history, within the framework of “Charity Awards”, 5 nominations were established, such as “Having an opinion”, “Onerpaz”, “Zhyly alaqan”, “Learning is light” and “Movement is life". AlmaU, as a university training future leaders, through “Service Learning” discipline, along with entrepreneurial skills, develops spirituality, mercy and humanity in students. Special Diplomas were awarded to the most distinguished graduates of various specialties.
The diploma awarding ceremony was a great joy and invaluable experience of communication for parents, graduates, and teachers. The event ended with the launch of colorful balloons with bright wishes and plans for the future.
