The new Ambassador of the Netherlands visited AlmaU!

On September 26, Almaty Management University was visited by the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kazakhstan, Mr. Dirk Jan Kop and coordinator of the Embassy on political Affairs, human rights and projects Irina Buchinskaya.

Guests were presented the University, shown AlmaU Innovative Museum, told about the dual degree program with the Maastricht School of Management, MSM, particularly focusing on the fact that this is a long-term partnership between European and Central Asian business schools. Representatives of AlmaU also told the guests about the fact that an honorary Professor of the University is René van der Linden, Senator of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, former President of the parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE). With his participation and with the participation of Dutch businessmen a round table "Kazakhstan-Netherlands: prospects for business partnership" took place in Almaty in 2014.

The parties discussed about grants for foreign students, cooperation with other Dutch universities. Dirk Jan Kop said that he likes ambitious plans of AlmaU and expressed a desire to come again and conduct a guest lecture for students of the University.

The current Ambassador of the Netherlands proceeded to this position six weeks ago. The previous Ambassador Hans Drisser, often visited AlmaU.
