The guest lectures program has started at AlmaU - Professor Neethiahnanthan Ari Ragavan from Taylor's University (Malaysia) visited AlmaU School of Hospitality and Tourism

On September 18, at the initiative of AlmaU School of Hospitality and Tourism, a guest lecture was given by Professor Dr. Neethiahnanthan Ari Ragavan on the topic “Impact of IR4.0: Future Proofing University Graduates”.

Dr. Ari Ragavan, as Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Leisure Management at Taylor's University (Malaysia), spoke about the university and the learning process at the Faculty of Leisure Management. The lecture participants were also provided with detailed information on world tourism trends, including how tourism is developing in Malaysia. The lecturer named the developed economy, high demand for flights, and improvement of digital technologies as the main factors affecting the development of tourism, which now serves as the main tool to improve tourist services and ease of visa processing.

During the meeting, it was learned that in the current new year, the recruitment of the faculty of leisure management amounted to 840 students. Taylor's University includes 4 faculties and 14 schools.

The leitmotif of the lecture was that through training at a ranking university in hospitality, a student will be able to find his dream job in the best companies of the world.

Taylor's University is among the top 15 best universities in the world in Hospitality & Leisure Management in the global QS World University Rankings ranking for 2019.

At the end of the meeting, AlmaU First Vice-Rector Almagul Kanagatova thanked the guest and presented a memorable gift as a sign of cooperation. Such a guest lecture, of course, expands the range of international cooperation with the best world universities and is an additional platform for discussing the latest trends in the hospitality industry.
