The double degree program of Hof University and AlmaU in the field of IT
On September 8, 2022, representatives and students of the University visited AlmaU
Academic Coordinator and Professor of the Hof University of Applied Sciences of Computer Science (Germany) Prof. Dr. Sebastian Leuoth together with his students visited AlmaU and showed an introductory lecture to the students of the School of Digital Technologies.
During the visit, Dr. Leuoth and Dean of the School of Digital Technologies Kuanysh Abeshev, with the participation of Director of the International Cooperation Department Assel Nurgazina, Head of the International Development Department Daria Nelidova and Head of the Academic Mobility Department Nursulu Kiyash, agreed on curricula and academic calendar for the double degree program between Hof University of Applied Sciences (Hof University) and AlmaU under the bachelor's degree program "Information systems".
The agreement on the implementation of the dual degree program is extension of the previously existing cooperation on the Erasmus+ grant program and on student exchange between Hof University and AlmaU.
The Bachelor's degree program in Computer Science at Hof University offers AlmaU students not only access to leading European knowledge and skills in the field of IT, but also the opportunity to study German for further professional development.
Mandatory conditions for admission of students of the AlmaU School of Digital Technologies to the dual degree program are:
- Successful completion of 120 ECTS credits (equivalent to 4 semesters)
- English and/or German language requirements: CEFR B2 level certificate
