Meeting of the Advisory Council of the School of Economics and Finance
The Advisory Council (AC) of the School of Economics and Finance is a collegial advisory body that includes teachers, students, undergraduates, doctoral students, University management and invited external experts.
At the meeting of the AC EP “Finance”, which included expert practitioners from banks, insurance organizations, private companies, independent experts, representatives of the quasi-public sector, associations of professional participants in the financial market, curriculum plans for the upcoming 2022-2023 academic year were discussed.
Experts note that the chosen reference point for undergraduates as preparation for passing the ACCA exams, for master’s students as preparation for passing the CFA exams, is a correct and practice-oriented path that is in demand in the labor market. During the discussions, valuable comments and recommendations were received, proposals were taken into account and, on their basis, a curriculum was developed, programs for bachelor's, master's and doctoral studies were improved.

The study program “Accounting and Audit” was developed taking into account the demand in the labor market. Training of “Accounting and Audit” specialists must comply with the requirements of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan: NSFR, IFRS and ISA; and international requirements, this is due to the fact that Kazakhstan is actively working to attract investment into the country’s economy. The specialty has international accreditation by the ACCA program.
