About Academy
In 2018, Service Learning Office and Lingnan Entrepreneurial Initiative at Lingnan University, Hong Kong, initiated the first Joint Humanitarian Entrepreneurship Summer Academy. The idea of creating an academy came due to the fact that most of studies at universities take place in isolation - on campuses. Students are offered courses covering programs that are trying to work with the communities, but taking into account the apparent lack of interaction between the structured course and the student community, a summer academy of humanitarian entrepreneurship was created for students. As you know, for the first time the summer academy was organized by Lingnan University in partnership with Beijing University of Education (Beijing, PRC), Xihua University (Chengdu, PRC) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
