In the region of Central Asia and Kazakhstan AlmaU is the only business university awarded with this accreditation. In the CIS, except AlmaU, there are 13 Russian and 2 Ukrainian business schools accredited.
AMBA is one of the most prestigious accreditations, part of the so-called «Triple crown». Receiving the recognition of the three associations is the cherished goal of any business school in the world. Their credibility is tested by time, and educational institutions accredited by them are world famous brands. So, only less than one percent of the business universities (78) possess all three accreditations. Among them - the world renowned business schools of Harvard, Cambridge, Oxford and London Business School and others.
To understand the essence of accreditation, it is necessary to know its benefits, i.e. who need them and why. In particular, the university accreditation has undeniable advantages for students: it serves as a guide in the selection of university; protects from getting low-quality educational services; It allows universities to mutually recognize and transfer credits; promotes academic mobility of and transfer to foreign universities for students; It gives an advantage over other graduates (from non-accredited universities) in employment and career advancement, and much more.
In turn, through the accreditation system the society receives reliable and accurate information about the quality of education in universities and colleges. Competitiveness of human resources increases, there is an incentive for the development of the social sphere. Universities, the State and employers also receive a number of benefits from the creation of an accreditation system.
It is clear that it serves the public interest, responding to the needs of the general population. Given that accreditation is a voluntary process, current conditions, the processes of globalization and internationalization of education force the strongest universities to undergo international accreditations in order to improve their status and ratings.
Global accreditation ensures MBA graduate a recognition of his diploma in the world. For example, a school accredited by the International Association of MBA’s, give the students a certificate confirming acceptance of their education. However, this is not the only advantage of the AMBA membership.
Every year the Association publishes the "Address Book" of their graduates, where the students of accredited business schools are on a par with students of top business schools. Thus, the association helps the employment and career development of graduates of accredited business schools.
