Global Education Program at Arizona State University!
Lecturers and researchers of the School of Economics and Finance - Dmitriy Ogay and Sadykov Alisher visited Arizona State University. Where productive meetings were held with Dr. Christine Buzinde - Director of the School of Community Resources and Development (SCRD) and Dr. Kelly Bricker Director of HAITC (Hainan University / ASU Joint International Tourism College). The founders of the Global Education Program project shared with them the main results of the project, told cases of national branding, international tourism and trade in Montenegro, Turkey and Latin America, also informed about further plans for the development of the project and its expansion, as well as about joint projects and collaborations on the topic of national branding and tourism between professors and lecturers.
The vision of the GEP project was presented, which studies precisely the developing countries of the world and economies that are undergoing the process of decolonization and are on the path of building democracy and good governance. Since it is for these countries that it is important to form the right national branding, where the attraction of international investment, tourism and trade will become one of the main catalysts for the development and prosperity of the country. Thus, for the countries of the Global South, building a strong national branding is one of the primary tasks in the field of economics and public administration. Thus, the Global Education Program will continue its research and study of the countries of the Global South and analyze the best cases to attract and implement them in Kazakhstan.
The program also included visits to the ASU campuses in Phoenix and Tempe.
