For the third time, the School of Economics and Finance surprises participants with the format of the annual conference
On November 14, 2022, the School of Economics and Finance held the International Research and Practical Conference “Creating the sustainable development of the national economy of Kazakhstan in times of global transformations and turbulence” dedicated to the National Currency Day – Tenge.
The conference was in hybrid format with participation of foreign researchers representing the School of Management at The NorthCap University (India), National Research University – Higher School of Economics (HSE University) (Russia). There were also representatives of financial institutions and companies: the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Regulation and Development of the Financial Market, Kazakhstan Stock Exchange, IFC (International Finance Corporation, World Bank Group), JSC BankCentrCredit, JSC JusanInvest, Halyk-Life, Baker Tilly Qazaqstan Advisory.
During the conference the relevant topics were discussed: the deglobalization processes' effect on the Kazakhstani economy, green economy and sustainable development, fintech trends, innovation products by Kase and the new financial instruments of private investment, use of the educational funded insurance and possibility of participation in the "National IPO of LTD “KazMunayGas” project. The proposed recommendations during the conference will find their application both in building skills and competencies for students, and in studying trends and innovations broadcast by the market.
It should be mentioned that holding such conference for AlmaU is becoming a tradition. It is already the third year as our University is holding free guest lectures and master classes from finance experts as a part of the conference week. The School also arranges financial club events and welcomes everyone interested on open lectures from the faculty and practitioners.
These events are unique as every year participants are improving their knowledge in finance and experience new formats and entertainment. We have no doubts that this knowledge will bring benefits bothe to faculty, staff, academic partners and to companies' representatives.
“Usually, conferences are run in one format. Our School is choosing and mixing different formats. As a result, participants have the possibility to choose a topic of their interest and convenient from them format. It is not necessary to participate in the whole conference", - said Parida Issahova, Dean of the School of Economics and Finance.
AlmaU appreciates and is grateful to all speakers and participants of the conference!
