Baltic Management Development Association присудила AlmaU награду “Significant Impact Award”
Almaty Management University, AlmaU had won the Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) award for Significant impact at the regional level.
Baltic Management Development Association awards were delivered during the 19th Annual BMDA Conference on the 8th of October.
During the conference, the award for AlmaU was presented by the President of the Baltic Association for Management Development Virginijus Kundrotas. In turn, AlmaU President Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, receiving the award, noted the high role and significance of this award for the University.
The Significant Impact Award is a kind of international recognition of the significant impact of Almay and the achievements of the AlmaU Graduate School of Business (GSB) in the field of management development and business education in the region. Receiving the award right before the 25th anniversary of the MBA programs is an important indicator of AlmaU's success.
GSB became the first business school in Central Asia to be awarded this award. This is especially valuable because BMDA unites more than 70 educational institutions and organizations from 27 countries of the world, focusing in its activities on improving the development of management and the quality of relevant programs.
Started 33 years ago, in 1988 AlmaU has become the first private business school in Kazakhstan. Since its foundation in 1988, AlmaU has been running innovative programs and projects that promote entrepreneurial thinking and social responsibility among students, teachers and society as well as the university’s third mission throughout Central Asia, contributing to the country's economic growth through education. AlmaU is the only higher educational institution in Central Asia, whose programs are accredited by AMBA (2013-2026), and which is included in the top 250 best business schools in the world and in the top 35 in Asia according to the QS World University Rankings: Global MBA Rankings 2022, the EMBA AlmaU program is ranked 22nd in the QS Executive MBA 2021: Joint programs (and No.2 in the world for graduate profile).

BMDA (Baltic Management Development Association) - Carrying out the idea to create a regional management development network, initiated by universities, business schools, individual professors and business professionals from the Baltic and other countries, the Baltic Management Development Association (BMDA) was founded at the end of 2002. From the very beginning, the Association started to induce the quality of management development in the Baltic region and beyond through promoting research, offering educational services and networking opportunities for management development institutions and business enterprises. BMDA currently unites 70 members from 27 countries.
