In AlmaU opened training of tour guides!
School of Economics and Service of Almaty Management University (formerly IAB) introduce to the students short-term courses of tour guides!
The guide – the creative profession demanding from those who master it, a versatility of interests and intellectuality. As training on the guide assumes continuous personal growth, the good guide always has perspectives to be demanded and in adjacent professions: the manager in travel agency, the owner of own business, the employee of the international companies.
The profession is especially actual and demanded in anticipation of Winter Universiade, which will take place in Almaty in 2017, and "Expo-2017".
The program of guides course in AlmaU includes 4 units: tourism bases, organization and business administration, communication skills and sport and tourist preparation.
Those who wishes to learn the profession of a guide are required to study the history of Kazakhstan (archeology, history of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the development of world history, the Great Silk Road), geography (RK monuments, local history), cultural studies (ethnography, art, culture and traditions).
Block "Management in Tourism" includes the study of the organization of management, the unit "Marketing in tourism" - the planning and development of tourist products and services, promotion of tourist product. Finally, the "Economics of Tourism" involves the study of global trends in tourism and international tourism markets, payment of tourist services.
In addition, future guides will learn the culture of speech and public speaking, English and Kazakh languages, cross-cultural communication. Of course, each guide must know the basics of safety, basic skills of the first aid, rules of conduct in the tourism campaign.
The duration of training is 4 months. After the course, students receive three certificates: Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan Association of entrance tourism and Kazakhstan tourist educational center. All students successfully completed the course will be recorded in a single register of tour guides and in the future are employed in large tourist companies.
