AlmaU took part in the international online hackathon!

Almaty Management University continues to develop international projects and actively cooperates with foreign partners. Since November 2019, AlmaU has been a grant holder of the Erasmus + project «Accelerating ICT students’ startup development competence via interdisciplinary modular courses in the HEI curricula (UXiship)» together with 9 partners - domestic and foreign universities. For AlmaU, this is the first institutional project within the framework of Erasmus + of the European Union.

One of the project partners is Kostanai State University named after A. Baitursynov. On April 23-25, 2020, KSU hosted an international online hackathon for schoolchildren, college and university students as part of the Science Week of Kostanai State University named after A. Baitursynov «The development of science after the pandemy». Hackathon participants had the opportunity to try their hand at IT and contribute to the fight against coronavirus and the effects of the pandemy. AlmaU was represented by the Dean of the School of Engineering Management, the coordinator of the Uxiship project - Abeshev Kuanysh with the theme «Data processing in a pandemic - COVID-19». The project partner from Kazan National Research Technical University, Anna Svirina, Doctor of Economics, Director of the Institute of Engineering Economics and Entrepreneurship, spoke on the topic: «IT startups in the face of digitalization».
