* Erasmus + is a new program of  European Union for the period from 2014 to 2020, aimed at supporting projects, cooperation, academic mobility in the field of education, training, sports and youth policy.

Erasmus + program is aimed at further promoting modernization and sustainable development of education and training systems, supporting  development of youth policy and sports, as well as improving skills and, thus, improving employment opportunities for people. The new program assumes a significant increase in investments in human development.

Gulzhanat Tayauova, Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan:

This year, from April 9 to 13, I was fortunate enough to get experience of teaching at ICD International Business School (Paris, France) within Erasmus + program. My expectations from Erasmus + program were to develop my own competencies in my field and increase relevance of my teaching, to expand knowledge in social and cultural issues, to create new contacts, to expand my professional network, to strengthen cooperation with the university partner and to improve cooperation in the field of research.

Accordingly, on the first day of my arrival at  ICD Business School, we held a seminar with French colleagues and shared research interests to make a joint publication or project in the future. Erasmus + provides an opportunity to see educational and scientific developments in other countries. We can strengthen research experience by jointly organizing intercultural research and publications.

In addition, I taught the discipline of "International Human Resource Management" (IHRM) to MBA students. IHRM is a very interesting course in terms of cultural differences in human resources management around the world. Fortunately, the class was very diverse in terms of culture and countries. Foreign students from Nepal, China, Italy, Algeria, India, Bangladesh and even those who were born in France, were also representatives of different nationalities. Therefore, it was a good opportunity to discuss and learn new things about cultural diversification and its management in HRM.

This was my second experience of teaching in the framework of Erasmus +. Earlier I was already in Antwerp, Belgium. Each time, I learn something new in terms of teaching methods, students' behavior and how this is all done in other countries. It gives me opportunity to strengthen my global approach and apply it at my university.

Zhanna Serikbaeva, Almaty Management University, Kazakhstan:

In the period from 5 to 9 March 2018, thanks to Erasmus + program, I had opportunity to participate in the mobility program for teaching staff. It was a very useful experience. Working abroad was an advantage for various reasons, especially in the sense that it improved my communication skills, allowed me to learn more about a new culture and expand my personal experience. This experience was useful in improving teaching methods and content of my courses and for international cooperation in training programs.

During the exchange, I read the course on "International Corporate Finance" for undergraduates ICD within their curriculum. The course was part of their first year of study at ICD Master's program. At each lecture there were conversations with students about my lectures, their work and how the theories described by me can be applied to their dissertation projects and their business.

This trip enabled me to strengthen research contacts with ICD teaching staff, who hope to work with us - AlmaU - within the framework of Erasmus + Exchange program.

I look forward to participating again in such a program.
