AlmaU launches Digital Literacy courses for pensioners, in association with the community fund Connect-Ed

In the spring of this year, AlmaU university held some digital literacy courses, organised in partnership with this fund. Connect-Ed provides free digital-literacy education for children and senior citizens to help them adapt to the rapidly changing world of technology

So, AlmaU and the Connect-Ed fund began to gather old, outdated devices, removing the unnecessary programs and upgrading them to ensure improved ease of use for schoolchildren from low-income families.

The next important stage of the partnership is the launch of digital literacy courses for pensioners, which will begin on 1st November. These courses will be available in both Kazakh and Russian. The program of courses aims to help pensioners use their smartphones with ease, including using mobile banking apps and applying for public services online as well as other aspects.

AlmaU and the community fund Connect-Ed are actively endorsing this project, striving to make digital literacy accessible to senior citizens. After all, by doing this we can help them live freely in digital society.
