AlmaU got IAAR Accreditation!
On December 23, 2016 for the first time Almaty Management University received national program accreditation by Accreditation Council decision of IAAR (Independent Agency for accreditation and ranking) 8 educational programs of University were awarded with specialized accreditation for 5 years.
Noteworthy that for the first time University received the high evaluation of its programs by Kazakhstan Agency, earlier the achievements of AlmaU were noted at the international level (AMBA, Eduniversal), and the accreditation had institutionalized character (IQAA).
The following undergraduate specialties got IAAR Accreditation:
1. 5B030100- "Jurisprudence",
2. 5В050500- "Regional Studies",
3. 5В051400- "Public relations",
4. 5B090800 "Valuation",
5. 5V091200- "Restaurant and hotel business",
6. 5В090900 – “Logistics” (branch- wise),
7. 6М090900 - “Logistics” (branch- wise),
8. 5B070300- "Information systems".
Almagul Kanagatova, the rector of AlmaU: "Getting national specialized accreditation from IAAR is an important event for us! The educational programs of Graduate School of management and marketing, Graduate school of Public policy and law, and also Faculty of basic preparation (FBP) passed the accreditation procedure worthily and got the deserved result. Congratulations to the entire staff of University with a new achievement!"
Noteworthy that accreditation confirms the high quality level of educational services provided by University, and confirms the public trust in University. The expert Committee, which did the external estimation of University, consisted of 15 people. It included observers from the Agency, students, employers and foreign and domestic experts from such universities as Ventspils Graduate School (Riga, Latvia); Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi, Eurasian National University named after L. N. Gumilev and others. During its work the Committee checked all activities of University: material-technical base, scientific research, educational programs, HR potential, infrastructure of University.
It is assumed that the remaining 5 bachelor’s and 5 master’s programs of AlmaU will undergo IQAA program specialized accreditation.
