AlmaU got access to the TURNITIN program

Almaty Management University (AlmaU) strengthens its position as a zone free from plagiarism.

On May 4, 2016 the ceremony of signing of the agreement between Almaty Management University and the American company TURNITIN took place. The software package TURNITIN is a world leader in the fight against plagiarism.

The three-year agreement for the verification of educational and scientific works of students on the TURNITIN program, signed AlmaU Vice-Rector for Finance and Corporate Development Ruslan Tulegenovich Kozhahmetov and representative of Turnitin for Eastern Europe, South Caucasus and Central Asia Katerina Levchenko.

After signing the contract K. Levchenko made a presentation to faculty on the topic "The revolution in the field of teaching students proper writing of scientific papers."

Currently Turnitin users in Kazakhstan are the Nazarbayev University, KBTU, Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools and Almaty Management University.

Signing of the contract with Turnitin reflects the policy of university directed for promotion of the academic honesty * in the scientific environment of Kazakhstan. Earlier, the university has also made steps to establish in AlmaU zone free from plagiarism.

Therefore, from August 2014 AlmaU used licensing system "Antiplagiat.Vuz" (Russia, 3-year agreement). Since March 2016 used TURNITIN licensing system (USA, 3 year agreement).
