AlmaU Competition for exchange program grants from the Ministry of Education (Fall 2024-2025)

The best 4 students will receive a grant, which will partly cover expenses for round-trip flights, accommodation for the period of study, medical insurance, and consular fees, through a set amount decided by the Ministry. Tuition at the host universities is free of charge.

3 grants will be awarded to students studying in European countries (each grant with a value of 1,389,568 Tenge) and one for South East Asia (2,231, 414 Tenge).

Please read the Rules and Guidelines for the exchange program in advance.

The internal competition will be conducted in the format of an interview with the competition commission, in English.

Requirements:

  • You must be a 1st or 2nd year student of a 4-year course, or 1st year student of a 3-year course
  • Have a GPA no lower than 3.0
  • Have a final score based on the results of the general competition of at least 50 points
  • Have an English language proficiency level of Upper-intermediate (B2) and above
  • Be a citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan
  • Study at AlmaU on a state grant

 

In order to avoid unexpected refusals to participate in the exchange program, we recommend that all students familiarize themselves with the basic requirements and information about expenses.

*Students who are holders of an Erasmus grant and/or other grants from past competitions cannot re-apply for the current competition for a grant, in accordance with the Regulations on Academic Mobility*
