X, Y, Z – typology of generations

Speaker of the seminar – Akmaral Altaliyeva, professor of Higher School of Business of AlmaU – performed the presentation of California colleagues Azusa Pacific University (Wendi Dykes, Jillian H. Gilbert, Gary Lemaster, Michael White) on the topic of “Divergent generation Y and Z: would we be left out in the cold”?

On the eve professor took part in the International conference on leadership “Annual ILA Global Conference” in Barcelona, in frames of which were auditioned performances of theorists and practitioners. Returning back, she decided to share her experience with colleagues.

During the seminar were touched such themes as:

- Information and review of the subject of Conference of 2015.

- Presentation on materials of the annual conference, October of 2015, Barcelona: “Divergent generation (Y & Z): would they leave us without job?”.

- Discussion of the closeness of this typology to realities of the RK and actuality of recommendations of American researchers, represented in presentation for Kazakhstan student audience.

- Survey of participants of the round table “Kazakhstan and X, Y, Z typology” in frames of international project of researchers Azusa Pacific University and Alma University.

One of the conclusions of the seminar became statement which was accepted by the majority: generation Z and followings will have to be taught with application of gadgets and mobile technologies, since representatives of these generations practically don’t accept other sources of knowledge.

Also in frames of seminar held discussion of how different generations will be able to communicate with each other and how teachers are supposed to prepare teachings for the NEXT generation and how employees and heads are supposed to prepare themselves to management and joint work.
