For the first time, MBA program of a Kazakhstani university entered the TOP-100 of QS Global ranking!
The joint EMBA program of AlmaU GSB and SPbSU GSoM was included in QS Global EMBA Rankings * 2020.
Graduate School of Business at Almaty Management University is the only business school in Kazakhstan included in QS rating.
On June 30, 2020, the world rating agency “QS World University Rankings” ** published the ranking of the best global EMBA programs, which is available on the site.
The joint Executive MBA program of Almaty Management University Graduate School of Business and Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University entered the TOP-100 of the best EMBA programs in QS World University Rankings: Global EMBA Rankings 2020, taking 95th place, and is on a par with the programs of universities such as :
• Graduate School of Management, St. Petersburg State University (Russia);
• Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong (Australia);
• Nottingham University Business School (United Kingdom);
• Katz Graduate School of Business, University of Pittsburgh (USA);
• Audencia Business School (France).
In 2020, QS Global EMBA Rankings after the selection stages included 161 EMBA programs from 35 countries. Countries with the highest number of EMBA programs included in the ranking are: United States of America (105), United Kingdom (27), Canada (18), Australia (13) and France (9). From the CIS countries, 2020 ranking included business schools in Russia - Graduate School of Management of St. Petersburg State University (97th place) and MGIMO School of Business and International Competencies (101+ place).
The best business schools providing EMBA programs in 2020 were: The Wharton School (the University of Pennsylvania), IESE Business School, HEC Paris, MIT Sloan School of Management, London Business School, Booth School of Business (The University of Chicago) , INSEAD, Saïd Business School (University of Oxford), Anderson School of Management (UCLA), Haas School of Business (the University of California Berkeley).
The TOP 100 includes the best universities in America - Yale School of Management, NYU (Stern), The Vanderbilt Owen Graduate School of Management, Questrom School of Business (Boston University), leading European universities - Warwick Business School, Judge Business School (University of Cambridge), IE Business School, EMLyon, NEOMA Business School, St. Gallen, Trinity College Dublin, and Asia - IIM Bangalore, CEIBS, Lee Kong Chian School of Business (SMU), Sabanci University.
QS TopMBA also identified leading Executive MBA programs by regions (Asia Pacific, Europe, Latin America and North America) and the world's best collaborative EMBA programs.
In accordance with the current world situation, the creators of the rating also additionally contacted all ranked business schools and collected information on how COVID-19 pandemic affects admission to EMBA programs and the curriculum.
The rating uses a methodology that takes into account the reputation of each business school in the academic community and among employers, as well as the demographic characteristics of EMBA students, salary increases after the end of the program, and much more.
For admission to EMBA programs, students must have significantly more experience than the average for MBA programs. The academic degree awarded at the end of the training is intended for the career growth of professionals. As a rule, the cost of training on most EMBA programs is higher than on MBA programs, and applicants are required to have a work experience of more than 10 years.
Thanks to the analysis carried out during the collection of data from business schools, QS World University Rankings can tell a lot about the current state of the educational market under the EMBA programs. So, the average trainee of EMBA program has 14 years of experience, 9 years of experience in leadership positions, 33% of the students in the group are top management professionals. On average, 32% of women and 13 representatives of different nationalities study on the program. After graduation, 55% of program graduates were promoted in work within a 12-month period and got an average salary increase of 38%.
