In the ranking of Kazakh universities AlmaU took the leading places
National Chamber for Enterprise of the Republic of Kazakhstan “Atameken” (Атамекен) and Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan conduct an assessment of universities on bachelor's programs. The results of the first stage of the work were announced at the briefing.
The ranking involved 114 Kazakh universities and 784 programs in 33 specialties.
Vice-Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan Talgat Eshenkulov (Талгат Ешенкулов):
“Mainly these are technical specialties, economics and business, as well as social sciences. This ranking is needed primarily for applicants. It will serve as a guide for choosing a specialty. It can help educational institutions, make adjustments and changes in educational programs and determine in which areas it is necessary to strengthen the work.”More.
The main criteria in the ranking were such factors as the relevance of educational programs and educational literature, the novelty of the taught subjects, the level of employment and the average salary of graduates, as well as questionnaires. The questionnaire was attended by 3,000 graduates of the previous year.
In the ranking Almaty Management University took the following places:
- Specialty "Accounting and audit" – 1st place;
- Specialty "Public relations " – 1st place;
- Specialty "Marketing" - 5th place;
- Specialty "Economy" - 12th place;
- Specialty "Finance" - 13th place;
- Specialty "Information Systems" – 21st place.
According to the initiators, the project will continue its work and by the end of 2018 several more rankings will be compiled.
