Lahore University of Management Sciences visited AlmaU
On January 30th 2020 AlmaU greeted representatives of Lahore University of Management Sciences (Pakistan).
The meeting was attended by Waqar Zaidi, PhD, Director Office of International Affairs, Associate Professor, Department of Humanities and Social Sciences; Shakir Hussain Shakir - Senior Program Officer Global Engagement; Eisha Mahmood, Program Officer.
Guests and Aigerim Kaumenova, Senior Advisor to Rector, Assel Nurgazina, Director of International Office AlmaU discussed opportunities of mutual collaboration between two universities. Among the top priorities of cooperation will be students exchange programs, visiting professors programs, on-line learning, summer schools and others. AlmaU and LUMS plan to sign Student exchange and cooperation agreement.
Lahore University of Management Sciences is the leading university in Pakistan founded in 1985. During discussions, colleagues from Pakistan shared their experience in development of higher education and educational institutions, in running exchange programs. Parties discussed opportunities of international collaboration and historical meaning of Lahore.
Let us recall that AlmaU has an international network of 105 partner universities in 33 countries. In addition, AlmaU is a proud member of 26 organizations both internationally and locally.
It is important for us that our students and teachers go abroad as often as possible and share international experiences.
