University 4.0: Challenges for university science
On April 12, AlmaU traditionally celebrated the Day of Scientists. Historically, this holiday is timed to the birthday of Academician and first President of the Academy of Sciences of the Kazakh SSR K.I. Satpayev.
On this significant day, AlmaU held a discussion with the research team about the current state, challenges and prospects for the development of university science on the topic «University 4.0: Challenges for university science».
At the dialogue platform, issues were raised within the framework of topical problems of the science sector in the country, the need to raise the status of scientists and strengthen measures for their social security was emphasized.
Among the speakers, Gulnaz Zhanatovna Alibekova, PhD, Deputy Director for Science of the Institute of Economics under the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the RK, joined the congratulations. In her speech, she stressed the importance of the formation of students' research competence, the search for effective models for involving the teaching staff and students in research activities.
Vice-Rector for Science Bakytzhan Kurmanbaevich Sarkeyev also delivered a congratulatory speech, he congratulated the university staff on the Day of Science and noted the need to intensify scientific research and projects in the educational process.
Following the results of the event, the faculty and staff of AlmaU, who contributed to the development of science and the training of researchers, were awarded Certificates of Honor on behalf of the rector of the university.
