“Tourism is a driver of development of Kazakhstan”: a round table was held at AlmaU
On December 5, in the Hall of AlmaU Academic Council, a regular round table was held on the theme: "Tourism is a driver of development of Kazakhstan."
It is no secret to anyone that Kazakhstan is famous for its unique nature and picturesque sights. In this regard, the state is trying to develop this area to educate local residents and attract foreign tourists. For example, at AlmaU, the School of Hospitality and Tourism trains qualified specialists. This trend is observed in many universities in the country.
The purpose of this event: to draw students' attention to the importance of creating favorable conditions for visiting attractions in the regions of Kazakhstan.
The speakers of the event were:

• Yerlan Syzdyk - independent adviser on tourism of Turkestan region, editor of Turan TV channel, author of “Legends of the South” expeditions, organizer of “Nomad Explorer” expeditions
• Zhandos Nurbekov - head of “Nomad” ethnic center
• Olga Zorina - journalist, editor, blogger, event organizer (“Traveling Wind” magazine)
• Erkin Beysekey - PhD, Director General of “Qazaq Eli Travel” travel agency
• Rimma Duysengalieva - Leading Manager of Zhibek Zholy Company LLP

The speakers spoke in detail about development of domestic tourism in our country, in particular, about the new tourist routes of Turkestan and Almaty regions. And in conclusion, the leading manager of Zhibek Zholy Company LLP Rimma Duysengalieva summed up and encouraged students to rational business planning.
“We need to blur the line between cities and villages. Before you build something in the countryside, you must first analyze. The capacity load should not be exceeded, because the Europeans are coming to communicate, to get to know the country from the inside. But you know, to understand the need of a foreign citizen, you must first start with yourself. It is necessary to attract local residents. We need to move from a lot of attention to action, because the deeper you dig, the more interesting. ”
This round table was very useful for students of Almaty Management University. They were able to learn from the "sharks" in this area all the nuances and secrets of a successful tourism business.
