AlmaU student took part in the opening of the 28th winter Universiade!

On January 29, 2017  in Almaty,  Torch Relay marking the opening of 28th winter Universiade took place. Gulzhan Davletova, a student of Almaty Management University took part in the Relay.

Gulzhan carried the Universiade torch at a distance of 180 metres from Bogenbay Batyr street to Kabanbai Batyr street along Seifullin Avenue. The girl also acted as a flag holder at the opening ceremony of the XXVIII winter Universiade - 2017, which was held in the ice palace "Almaty Arena" in front of 12 thousand spectators.

 Now Gulzhan is a 3rd year student of "Marketing" specialty (English Department), she takes an active part in sports activities of the University and the city, in particular, she defends the honour of the University on annual Almaty marathon. She won the title of "Vice-Miss Kazakhstan 2016" in the national competition "Miss Kazakhstan-2016." Finalist of the contest "Miss Almaty 2015". Represented our country at the headquarters of UNESCO (Paris, France) at the festive events dedicated to the Millennium of Almaty. 

In total  60 volunteers from AlmaU took part in the Universiade!

50 students-volunteers from AlmaU were involved in the inauguration of Almaty 2017 Winter Universiade (January 29).

Today, January 30, 2017 40 students-volunteers and teachers of AlmaU are acting as fans to support our sportsmen at a hockey game China-Kazakhstan in the Palace of sport and culture named after B. Sholak.

TO THE ATTENTION for students, staff and teachers!

In the period of the Universiade (29 January – 8 February) access to Almaty will be limited and transport traffic will be restricted near Universiade facities. We ask everyone to adjust the routes of your movement in advance and to understand the measures for road safety in the metropolis.

During the Universiade measures to ensure security in the city will be strengthened. In order to avoid misunderstandings with the police, we ask students and teachers to carry ID with yourselves!
