StartUp Night AlmaU unites!

We are pleased to inform you that StartUp Night AlmaU was held on June 20 at Almaty Management University.

This event was held as part of JOINT HUMANITARIAN ENTREPRENEURSHIP SUMMER ACADEMY Summer School, initiated by Lingnan University (Hong Kong). Students from Hong Kong, Kazakhstan, France, India and America came to Kazakhstan on June 16 - 29 to discuss and propose ideas on social entrepreneurship and solving environmentally important problems.

Students from Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, France, India and America united in different teams and for 3 hours worked on development of social business projects, under the guidance of mentors. As a result, at StartUp Night, students from around the world realized 7 ideas in projects in one night!

At StartUp Night AlmaU, 7 teams consisting of 6 people took part.

1st place went to VANILLA team. The idea of ​​their social project was to produce designer backpacks made from recycled plastic.

Arad Davar - lecturer “Critical Thinking”, “Entrepreneurship”

AigerimKaumenova is an expert in the field of international relations.

After evaluating the projects, the winners were awarded prizes, and all participants received certificates of participation.

It is admitted that through such events Almaty Management University, as a leader in entrepreneurial education in the Republic of Kazakhstan, gathers and unites like-minded people.
