In particular, the need to develop the ability to think critically, solve problems, work in teams, as well as leadership skills, flexibility and ability to adapt, initiative and entrepreneurial skills.
Olga Krivopust, the teacher of Saumalk School gymnasium No. 2, has noted that rural teachers try not to lag behind the city colleagues, regularly improve skills, share experience with each other: "Now it is important to us not just to reproduce a former educational system, imparting children knowledge, which were given 10 and 20 years ago. It is important to us to teach children not just to know, but to understand, apply, analyze and – in the long term - to create this knowledge".
Teachers understand that real educational process is characterized by active work of pupils of "getting" of knowledge at each lesson. "The pupil – not object, but the subject of the knowledge, the teacher – not the translator of knowledge, and the organizer of cognitive activity of pupils", - says Karina Lokteva the teacher elementary school.
The invited lecturer Asel Akpayeva, addressing rural colleagues, paid special attention to psychophysiological features of children. According to her, transition to the 12-year education is an extension of duration of education at elementary school taking into account psychophysiological features of the transition (crisis) periods in development of children, but not simple addition of one year of education to reduce the load of pupils. "Ignoring of these features, - the lecturer considers, - leads to loss of time important for formation of fundamental skills of pupils".
