Teacher’s role: teach how to study

With the aim of realization of “100 concrete steps” program, particularly, for the raise of the quality of human capital on the basis of OECD, from 19th to 23rd of October in Kazakh State Women’s Teacher Training University will be conducted seminar on the topic of “Applying international approaches, methodologies, technologies of teaching and education in the national system of education”. Seminar, destined for professors’ and teachers’ staff, was organized by the Institution of education development of the School of state and social politics (IED SSSP) of Almaty Management University (earlier IAB).
First training “New approaches in teaching and learning in the modern system of education” was conducted by Irina Kolomysheva, trainer of the Center of level programs of the quality raise Institution. Listeners of the seminar formed problems, which exist today in pedagogical education, from the name of variable participants of educational process and made a conclusion about necessity of the change in education paradigm. “All the pointed contradictions and problems take place not only in the native system of education, - noticed I. Kolomysheva, - but also are the sequence of educational systems crisis all over the world. Conditions have changed, students have changed. Accordingly, methods and approaches to learning and teaching, and also teacher’s role have to be changed. None of the teachers today can compete with computer and internet. Therefore, his role is changing. Now he has to learn how to coordinate students’ activity on lessons, direct and correct their actions by independent information search, its analysis and production of original decisions”.
With modern paces of information and scientific technologies development, it is very difficult to suggest, which knowledge will exactly help people after 5, 10, 15 years. And the task of teacher – to define, whether he teaches right things, and how knowledge, that they get today, will help them tomorrow.
During the process of training were applied diverse methodologies and interactive technologies, shown criterial assessment effectiveness, importance of reflection as the condition for successful professional activity of teacher.
