AlmaU 2019 International Summer School “Education of the future: design, content and forms”

We inform you that on July 7, there was the opening ceremony of one of the main educational events of the current summer season in AlmaU - AlmaU’2019 International Summer School. From July 6 to July 12 of this year, AlmaU 2019 International Summer School on the theme “Education of the future: design, content and forms” was held on the Black Sea coast of Georgia, Ureki resort village. The main credo of the school work can be expressed in the words of the philosopher and publicist Ralph Waldo Emerson: “Knowledge exists in order to spread it”. 

Definitely, the summer school brought together bright speakers and trainers, as well as friends and like-minded people. At the opening ceremony of the Summer School, AlmaU Rector KurganbaevaGulmiraAmanzholovna and AlmaU First Vice-Rector KanagatovaAlmagulMedikhatovna gave a welcoming speech. In her speech, GulmiraAmanzholovna emphasized the importance of an academic discussion about the future of education and its construction in schools and universities. In turn, AlmagulMedikhatovna presented a list of outstanding international and Kazakhstani experts in the field of education and wished school students fruitful work surrounded by the beautiful nature.

On July 7-8, CEO of Eurasian Center for People Management, an expert in strategic communications, personnel management and social and labor relations, YerbolIsmailov and head of the educational center of BTS Digital, National Geographic Kazakhstan Goodwill Ambassador SayasatNurbek, spoke.

The summer school programme was opened by ErbolIsmailov’s training “Team Building: What is Happiness?”. During the training, various quotes of outstanding people about happiness were given, and all work was carried out on an interactive basis. In this way, trainees' opinions were heard about “What is happiness?”.Trainees were divided into 5 teams to complete the assignment on the topic “Innovative model of a comprehensive school”. The working environment reigned in the audience and many new ideas about the school model of the future were voiced.

SayasatNurbek,trainer and expert divided his presentation “EdTech: Digitalization of Education, Prospects and Growth of the Global Education Market” into two parts: theoretical and conversation with students. Atthe trainingSayasatNurbek used methods of comparing data on the education system: early and current realities. Participants noted the informational content of the training, as the trainer used a lot of video materials and gave real examples from their experience.

Over 30 students, surrounded by local Georgian nature, exchanged experience and ideas about the future of education. Further, we will introduce you to the vivid presentations of experts such as VasilyKlyucharyov “Do as everyone: why is it not profitable to be a conformist today?” (GSE, Russia), Lo Sing Kai “Evidence-based education: from educational policy to knowledge transfer” (САР, Hong Kong), Alfrid and Lena Khasanova “Soft skills: what kind of professional skills will help a teacher in his work?” (Athens, Greece).
