"ZachOt-2016" contest for journalist

For those who cover the topic of education in Kazakhstan and does it thoughtfully and objectively!

Almaty Management University (Alma University), former International Academy of Business, with support of Kazakhstan Press club, announces the start of the annual Republican Contest "ZachOt", initiated by IAB 8 years ago.

Authors and editors of domestic mass media, who covered the issues of education in the Republic of Kazakhstan during the past year,  can get "ZachOt-2016".

After examining the submitted works, the jury composed of well-known publishers, journalists and educators, will select the winners among the mass media and the authors who submitted their works for the contest. They will be invited to participate in the awarding ceremony, which will take place in March 2017. The winners will get valuable prizes and gifts from organizers and sponsors.

For the attention of participants!

This year the selection of works for participation in the contest slightly changed.

Before now, a part of the nominees was determined by monitoring publications in mass-media for 2016 provided by Kazakhstan Press club, a permanent partner of Republican contest "ZachOt", but this year almost all of the nominees will be selected from the journalists and mass media who have submitted their works for the contest.

The criteria of selection are relevance and significance of the publication; statement of the problem and its comprehensive coverage, professionalism and presentation skills, and others. In addition, all submitted materials must be placed in the mass media free of charge.

What is required to participate in the contest:

- it is necessary to submit your work (articles, TV and radio stories) before 18.00 February 20, 2017, published in the period from  January 1 to December 31, 2016 e-mail zachot.iab@gmail.com and pr@almau.edu.kz marked " ZachOt -2016".

Requirements for contest works:

- submitted materials must be sent in the format *.doc,*.docx with reference to the publication in the Internet (if it is not published in the Internet – a scanned copy of pages of printing editions);

- for TV – video works: submitted materials must be provided on a flash or CD - carrier, or sent a link to the material. You must also specify the author’s name, name of mass media, the date of publication or performance in the air, and your contact details (mobile and work phone, e-mail).
