iSTART. Time to work!

On April 12, 2016, Almaty Management University hosts the IX Annual Scientific conference “iSTART. Time to work!”

The topics of the conference was outlined (but not limited to) the following issues: the business climate and business culture in Kazakhstan and in the world; marketing; the stability of the national financial system; actual problems of the economy and the valuation of assets; the modern development of the service sector; the impact of geopolitics on the economy and social development of countries and regions; the role of language in business and intercultural communication; foreign languages in professional discourse; business and human rights, and others.

Representatives of 17 universities from Ufa, Simferopol, Karaganda and Petropavlovsk participated in a competition. In total 208 applications were submitted, 190 of which – from students of a bachelor degree, and 18 of which – masters degree were submitted for conference. Selection of work were made by criterion of uniqueness and 180 applications were allowed to the competition. Articles were submitted in Russian (110 articles, 61%), Kazakh (40 articles, 22%) and English (30, 17%) languages.

Work on verification of articles on uniqueness of the text (plagiarism) was performed by the employee of science department Madi Zhumatkan. All articles underwent testing in the permit system antiplagiat.ru. Uniqueness of texts must be not lower than 75%.

Reports were distributed on 11 sections. In total at conference 115 reports were heard. By results of operation of sections, the best speakers were selected.

So, the winner of the section "Business climate and business culture in Kazakhstan and in the world" became a representative of AlmaU, 3rd year student of the specialty "Management" Nina Elistratova, with the work "Organizational culture as the foundation for success" (supervisor - senior lecturer Aibol Muhsiynov .

In section "Marketing: new ideas and challenges" the victory was won by AlmaU team represented by Aydyn Dadayev, Galiya Bostanova and Nurlybek Musatayev with startup project "Magneto".

In the section "Stability of a National Financial System" the jury recognized the best work of Ayaulym Zhuman (AlmaU, the 2nd year student, "The account and audit") on the subject "Problem of Control of a Public Debt of the Republic of Kazakhstan".

The student of AlmaU Anel Bekzhankyzy (the 3rd year, Assessment) became the winner in the section "Actual Problems of Economy and Estimation of Assets Cost".

1 place in the section "The Modern Development of a Services Sector" was taken by students of AlmaU (Logistics, the 3rd year) Erlan Nurtayev and Ilinur Yakhyarova with the project "Fulfilment: perspectives for Kazakhstan".

In the section "Influence of Geopolitics on Economy and Social Development of the Countries and Regions" Sanzhar Nasylbekov from AlmaU (Regional studies, the 3rd year student) became the best.

In subgroup "Language role in business and cross-cultural communication», the victory was won by students of AlmaU Aidos Sabyrbekuly, Shyrai Kabylbek, Kamil Esenkosov with the project "The state language policy and youth".

In the section "Foreign Languages in a Professional Discourse" Olga Negai (AlmaU, Finance, 2nd year student) was recognized as the winner.

In section "IT: The Internet of things" the team of AlmaU students became the best: Azret Akhmetov, Askar Kurymbayev and Dilshat Rakhimov, with project Smart security system.

In a subsection "Civil protection of the rights and freedoms" 1st place was awarded to Diana Meyrbekova, the student of AlmaU, Law, the 4th year. Diana's work was devoted to the subject "The Business Ombudsman as One of Methods of Protection of the Rights of Businessmen in RK".

In the subsection "Publicly-legal protection of rights and freedoms”, the best became Bakhyt Tasmagambetov, student of Kazakh University of International relations and foreign languages, with the work of "legal regulation of labor migration."

Awarding of the winners with diplomas and prizes was held with the participation of Vice-Rector for Science and Strategic Development of AlmaU Daniya Asanova.

Excellent work on the organization of conference was carried out by volunteers from student's clubs: Khamzat Dadayev, Madiyar Karatayev, Niyaz Kurbanov, Baglan Kapsimetov, Adiya Dospayeva, Aidos Ospanov supported participants in registration, preparation of classrooms, accompanied guests, the organization of section meetings.

Lunch to participants of conference was presented by LLP "Kalinka Catering". Conference was held on the good organizational level and gave pulse of further activation of research and development work of students and undergraduates of Almaty Management of University.
