Innovations: from Europe to Kazakhstan
On 27 August 2015 in Almaty Management University (AlmaU, previously IAB) was held a Final Conference of the European Union project eINTERASIA on theme “International Cooperation between EU and Central Asian Countries in Innovative IT Solutions, Knowledge and Technology Transfer”.
The main purpose of eINTERASIA project is to transfer concept and business model for adaption, dissemination and local exploitation of EU research results.
Conference participants had a unique possibility to meet with representatives of European Commission (EC) and Kazakhstan Center for collaboration with EC, as well as introduced with possibilities for obtaining funding in the frame of different European programs. The eINTERASIA project participants represent different countries of the world (Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Germany, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan). Acquired with success story of collaboration “European Union – Central Asia” in the sphere of innovation technology and IT solutions transfer.
President-rector of Almaty Management University Assylbek Kozhakhmetov told about methodology and experience of implementing IT solutions, knowledge and technology at the University. Especially rector mentioned the innovative museum of the University, which has no live exhibits (detailed at http://www.almau.edu.kz/5187) and project “Knowledge management”.
Representative of European commission V. Kopanas spoke about perspectives of international cooperation between EU and Central Asia countries.
The role of framed programme “Horizon - 2020” (H2020-NCP-KZ) in strengthening cooperation between EU and Kazakhstan noticed K.Maygazieva; guests from Germany М. Schumann and S. Leye discussed models and platforms on the base of virtual reality technology; M. Boronowsky (Germany), H.Boboyev and S.Boboyev (Tajikistan) presented demonstrational exhibitions as a window to a new scientific innovations.
Leonid Gurevich, president of the Center for business information, social and marketing researches of BISAM Central Asia pointed that the eINTERASIA project significantly contributed to the fact that advanced European technologies and business solutions not only transferred to Central Asian countries, but also effectively implemented in activities of local organizations and companies.
According to organizers, it is expected that eINTERASIA project will continue or renew in a modified format. Apply for participation will be able any organization that can prove real commitment to innovation systems.
From Central Asian countries in the project worked famous Kazakhstan organization Astana- Innovations, Tajikistan Technological University and Uzbekistan association of international dispatchers.
