January 12, the last day of the winter school "Modern University: access to a new audience."

The participants of our winter school had three happy days. The fourth day became exciting for them. They had to present their projects, which they prepared within the framework of the training on the chosen track.

Teachers from various educational institutions of Kazakhstan have been studying at AlmaU in the XXIII winter school for the third day.

The day was intense and full of emotions. Guest speakers shared the information useful for further development, had fascinating exercises and games, and in the evening the participants had a chance to learn body and voice techniques.

On the week of 10-14 December 2018, Professor of AlmaU Graduate School of Business Dr. Akmaral Altaliyeva had a teaching mobilty at ICD International Business School (Paris, France) under Erasmus+ program.

What should a modern university be? What needs to be changed today? How to manage these changes? Answers to these questions were sought by the participants of the XXIII Annual Winter School for teachers and university staff which started at AlmaU today.

On December 25, Almaty Management University hosted AlmaU & NIS Talks on the topic “Service Learning”, which was attended by leaders of “Shanyrak” school community and student self-government of Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools.

Dr. Assylbek Kozhakhmetov, President of AlmaU and Dr. Assel Aryn, Dean of School of Management visited Bangalore and Mumbai, India on the week of 10-14 December 2018.

What does a young man from Kazakhstan need at the initial stage of his career path? What goals need to be set? What attitude to life you need to have in order to achieve heights in your career and on the path of personal growth? Usen Suleimen answered these questions and shared his experience.

On December 25, 2018, AlmaU became one of the 10 higher education institutions -institutional participants of Oracle Academy, along with KazNIITU, IITU, SDU, AUIEC and others.

December 23, AlmaU hosted Christmas Open Day for students and parents.

On December 10, 2018 AlmaU held a business workshop on the topic “Once sold - earned five times: the universal sales system “15 + 17” from a businessman, orator and speaker, business coach and business therapist, philologist and teacher - Andrey Levchenko.

On December 7, 2018, AlmaU held a free master class from John Tschohl, internationally recognized expert in sales and business development, “Customer service guru”, according to Time and Entrepreneur magazines, best-selling author, consultant on service strategy implementation, President of Service Quality Institute (USA). The event was held with the support of Almaty Akimat, Technodom Company and JSC Kazakh Invest.

On November 30, 2018, Gulnar Kurenkeeva, dean of AlmaU Graduate School of Business, was elected as a member of Association of MBA's, UK, London, International Accreditation Advisory Council. Membership in AMBA is awarded to individuals who promote the Association’s objects.
