Chinese students will learn Kazakh language in AlmaU.

The delegation of Almaty Management University headed by the rector Almagul Kanagatova visited General Consulate of People's Republic of China in Almaty by the invitation of the General Consul of the People's Republic of China Mr. Zhang Wei.

During the meeting was discussed the question of network extension of AlmaU partners in China, and also perspectives of cooperation of Alma University with the Chinese partner universities among which: Zhejiang University School of Management, Antai College of Economics and Management, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Mr. Zhang Wei marked that 2017 will be year of tourism (*) therefore, development of cooperation of neighboring countries in the field is important, especially for the large cities. In this regard, according to the recommendation of General Consulate of the People's Republic of China in Almaty, AlmaU plans to establish partnership in the field of tourism management with Beijing International Studies University (BISU) in the following directions:

- Academic mobility of teachers and students;

- Creation of the program of the double degree diploma;

- Trainings for teachers;

- Joint projects and researches. 

AlmaU Rector invited students of Chinese universities to take an active part in the Summer University projects - in the cultural-linguistic camp "Ulytau" (goal - the study of the Kazakh language immersion in the traditions and culture), in the summer school for entrepreneurship and summer school for doctoral EDSA.

Mr. Zhang Wei expressed desire to visit the Kazakhstan university for a meeting with students and teachers within the Ambassadorial Hour project where speakers share the experience in Kazakhstan and the impressions about intercountry cooperation.

(*) the General Assembly of the United Nations declared 2017 International year of tourism.
