Visitors from Harvard in AlmaU

On September 22, 2016 Almaty Management University was visited by Rawi Abdelal, Professor of International Management at Harvard business school, the Director of Davis Center for Russian and Eurasian Studies and Alexandra Vacroux, Executive Director of Davis center, lecturer on political science at Harvard University.

The purpose of their visit was acquaintance and discussion of cooperation possibilities between universities. Particularly, representatives of Harvard are planning to open in Almaty a center for the study of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Central Asia.

In AlmaU the guests were shown the University: campus, Innovation Museum, sports area. Foreign guests also met with the management of the University: President of the University Asylbek Kozhahmetov and Vice-President for corporate development Ruslan Kozhakhmetov, Vice-rector for academic development Gulmira Kurganbaeva, the Dean of High school of government policy and law Dinara Tumabekova, Director of the Center of languages development Davar Arad and Head of the Department for international development Aigerim Kaumenova.

AlmaU representatives reminded the guests about the visit of graduates of MBA program of Harvard business school to our University in May 2015.

During the visit the guests told the details of their visit to Kazakhstan. In particular, before coming to AlmaU they met with the Prime Minister, the management of "Samruk-Kazyna" National Welfare Fund and the financial centre of Astana, and participated in Growth forum in Almaty.
