Ukrainian artist Oksana Furs's exhibition will take place at Almaty Management University, on February 3, 2023
On February 3, 2023, the opening of an exhibition of works by the honored Ukrainian artist Oksana Furs will take place at Almaty Management University.
Oksana Fursa – Doctor of Art History, Professor, Founder and President of the Art Academy of Contemporary Art named after Salvador Dali* (Ukraine, Kyiv). The works of the artist are presented in the national funds of the historical and cultural conservation area Sofia Kyivskaya and Andrew's Church, the National Museum of Taras Shevchenko, in the collections of art connoisseurs, such as R.Dyakons (Lithuania), S.Vasiliev (Russia), A.Sheremetiev (Ukraine), Kayoshi Hy (Japan) and others.
“My world of Ukrainian fairy tale disappeared on February 24, 2022 at 5 am. Since then, every day I have been praying that peace will come to Ukraine and the terrible times will come to an end. I believe that good will overcome the evil that has come to us. I believe in the inevitable victory and further prosperity of my country. Creative people subtly feel this world. They suffer differently; I expressed my feelings: pain, suffering and hope in canvases,” says the artist.
During the exhibition, guests will have the opportunity to purchase author's collection works. In addition to art works, a collection series of author's silk shawls and scarves, porcelain toys, stamps (from a series of diplomatic gifts) will be presented. All funds raised during the exhibition will be directed to the Art Renova Ukraine Charitable Foundation.
* On March 20, 2022 during the bombing of Kyiv Art Academy of Contemporary Art named after Salvador Dali was damaged. Currently, there is no lighting and heating in the academy building.
