2 prestigious CEEMAN Champion Awards given to AlmaU faculty in 2022
CEEMAN Champion Awards 2022 have been awarded to 2 AlmaU professors in the following nominations: Teacher of the Year – Ms. Aurora Diaz-Soloaga (School of Management) and Responsible Educator of the Year – Dr. Alberto Frigerio (School of Politics and Law). Applications for the awards have been written and submitted by the Head of International Development of AlmaU – Ms. Darya Nelidova in May 2022.
Each year, starting in 2010, CEEMAN recognizes outstanding achievements of individuals from CEEMAN member institutions, in the categories of teaching, research, responsible management education, and institutional management. In all CEEMAN Champion Awards categories, the judges have a special eye for: how the accomplishment is relevant to the management practice and knowledge in the local environment, how it contributes to the institution’s overall vision and strategy, how it reflects the values and principles of the CEEMAN Manifesto "Changing the Course of Management Development: Combining Excellence with Relevance".
AlmaU has been an active member of CEEMAN since 1993. Since 2015, AlmaU Founder and President Dr Assylbek Kozhakhmetov is the Board Member and CEEMAN Vice President for Central Asia. In total, AlmaU received 5 awards, including CEEMAN Leader of the Year 2021 - Dr. Gulnara Kurenkeyeva, AlmaU Rector, CEEMAN Champions Awards-2017 selected Aigerim Kaumenova and Zhuldyz Yelubayeva as winners in the category "Responsible Management Education", and in 2014, AlmaU President Asylbek Kozhakhmetov received the prestigious CEEMAN Champions Awards in the category "Institutional management".
The International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies (CEEMAN) is an international management development association established in 1993 with the aim of accelerating the growth in quality of management development in central and Eastern Europe. Now it is a global network of management development institutions interested in quality of education and innovations in this field, as well as in the broad area of subjects related to change, with 200 members from 50 countries in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa, and Asia*.
