100% of potential AlmaU students scored a passing grade in CT
The students of AlmaU Foundation educational program successfully repassed the Complex Testing of Applicants, which was conducted from 20 to 24 January. 100% of potential students of Almaty Management University scored a passing grade!
In 2016, 27 graduates of colleges and secondary schools enrolled the Foundation program for 10 bachelor programs at Almaty Management University, who did not get a passing grade in national test for admission to university. After getting the conditional status of a student, they studied the educational program (as per their specialty) during 1 semester and simultaneously prepared for the Complex testing (CT).
Preparation for CT was conducted at AlmaU for 4 months - from September to December 2016 according to the approved schedule, under the guidance of experienced teachers-trainers in three subjects – History of Kazakhstan, Mathematics and Geography. The students themselves chose the set of subjects which they needed. Classes were 2 times a week, mainly on Saturdays for 2 hours for each subject.
Classes of the preparatory courses were as close as possible to the CT requirements :
- learning materials and assignments on subjects were adapted to the tests of the Testing Center;
- monitoring cut of educational achievements was constantly carried out by computer-based and paper based testing;
- psychological training and introduction of the Complex testing format were conducted.
Re-testing according to the Model rules of admission to study at organizations of education, was held from 20 to 24 January 2017. 20 students were admitted, they learned the Foundation educational program of the 1 semester.
In general, the results of re-passing CT of all our students were successful, they got from 60 to 85 points and were enrolled in Almaty Management University on a full basis.
